After Mothra reminded me about the Uxbridge watch fair today, I ended up taking the whole family down there & picking up this Dynamic Day-Date.





There is a slight crack in the Crystal at 11 o'clock. But I think it needs a service anyway as it seems to be running a bit slow. It would've been perfect if it was Blue/Silver Bullseye too, but I need to keep something near the top of my wish list!

 

Oh dear, I seem to have bought this blue/silver cal 565 on eBay...

Looks like I'm going to have to stop paying so much attention to Desmond's article

 

Now I just need a cal 552 to round out my set & I can move on

 

Boy, I hate it when you get ambushed by a watch. Happens often enough, you'd think they'd do something about it....

 

Thankfully "they" have been gentle on my wallet this time. These two combined cost less than my 1st one

Looks like prices have gone soft in the last few days before Christmas...

 

Really?. I've got them standing in line to ambush me. And if that is not bad enough, if I make out of town I'd still have to drive through Zenithville.

 

And here is the new arrival. It needs a new crystal and strap, but the case looks untouched and is in fair condition. Needs a little touch up on the hour hand too.

 

You're not the first person to get sucked in by the Blue/Silver bullseye

I've been wearing mine to the office a lot, it's a great watch with cuffs - slides under shirts nicely & is very unobtrusive. It works well with traditional suits (lots of blues & greys) & you can bet nobody else is wearing one too

 

...and I've just picked up a 70s white strap. Just have to decide which watch will be the lucky recipient

Should be a cal 752 inside, but I'm still looking for a quality cal 552 version.

 

Still after a very clean call 552 & 601 though. Oddly, there haven't been any good non-date ones around for a little while - at a reasonable price.
