    This one is a toughie. First off, not all Seamasters were identified on the dial.

    Also, I would think there should be traces of radium in the recesses of the markers. This isn't there. I'm thinking that this dial could be original, but cleaned or dipped. This would explain the removal of the radium and the clean condition. It could be a very high quality redial, too. Can't be sure.

    Try to find another identical example of the dial to get an idea of what a 60+ year old would look like under normal use.

    The watch does look nice though,

    Wrong movement in this watch. It should be a 500 or 501 for a 2846. :thumbsdown: Whole thing is not right

    I had my eye on this a while ago. It is the 3rd time in the last few months it has been listed.

    At $1500 it's above what the average selling price is by far. Even in solid 18ct that's an $1100 watch at best given the condition.
