Is this as good as European Watch says it is?
What am I missing or has this already been discussed?

28527 Omega 2998 - 1 Speedmaster with iconic "Lolipop" Seconds Hand, 29981, 2998-1, the 2998 is the second generation speedmaster introduced after the 2915, this example is part of the first batch of 2998s produced and closest to the 2915, this model is not only "pre-moon" but is also "pre-space," one of the only Omega models in history with this iconic Lolipop seconds hand, the stainless steel case is in excellent condition for its age, stainless steel folding 7077 bracelet with small clasp and correct 6 end links, the bracelet is stamped 4 / 1960, iconic omega caliber 321 movement, jet black dial is in outstanding original condition with original radium in very clean condition, all luminous material on the dial appears to be original, bright and unaltered, extremely charming lolipop seconds hand making this a rarer variant of the 2998, correct base 1000 bezel found on -1 and -2 2998 variants, dust cover, serial circa 1960, size 39.5mm, thickness 13mm. Outstanding original condition for a very historically important Omega reference. The watch was purchased from the grandson of the original owner.

Well, it's been around for quite a while, so probably my not quite as good as EWC thinks? Very nice looking, but a bit optimistic I think.

..maybe because EWC seems to have it's own, revenue maximizing opinion on things, also called alternative facts :)

Quote from another EWC Ad for a 145.012:
"145012, confirmed by Omega as first Speedmaster reference to set foot on the moon.."

Anyone else notice this watch dropped off the EwC app this week?
