85B03473-B019-4DA2-9A36-0F58527472F9.jpeg I posted here a couple of weeks ago regarding a vintage Omega I found on Krono 24. I was advised that the dial was to pristine to be original. I found another one, same here, 1947, as the previous one but obviously not in is pretty condition as the first. It’s also much cheaper!
Once again, I am asking for advice from you experts. I’m in a bit of a hurry as this watch bidding ends in less than a day. What do you think?

Sorry, I guess can’t add more photos. I’ll try again with a new thread.

Even with the poor pics I like this one. Nice sharp edge around the crystal, original dial and hands. Looks good but more pics would help

Thanks for noticing that. Any idea how difficult/costly that would be to fix?

Thanks for that! For a second, I was thinking I have learned nothing in the many hours I’ve spent researching this watch.

So, can anyone tell me how hard it will be find the bumper spring, and how much it would cost to buy it and have it installed?
Edit: I found a couple of replacement movements on eBay for less than $200. I’m thinking if I can get the watch for under $500 I could buy the replacement movement and have it as a spare. Is that reasonable thing to do?

My bad: googled Omega Serial Numbers and ended up on a Rolex site! ::facepalm2::

    Nice one!

I have several period ads for this model but this is the only one I found with the same dial as yours. Omega seemed to prefer the roman numerals in its then current communication… I would say that today I much prefer the design of yours with the smaller 0 at ten!

Having a donor could always be useful. But, if you do not buy the exact same caliber, be careful to get a bumper with the same springs - Omega used different devices on their bumpers. And I would say you will end paying too much for this watch. But if you really like it, go ahead!
