Is it weird that I'm more impressed actually by the box that this watch comes in than the box itself? Its a cool watch, make no mistake, these 18K odd-shaped Quartzes were always cool. But the box looks like it was designed after the Superman movie to make it look like the watch came from the planet Krypton.

Yeah I'd seen pictures before but it's still a fascinating box! Wonder what could have happened to the dial when the watch looks basically unworn? With its damaged dial and non working movement (potentially a £1000 fix) I'm surprised some idiot hasn't melted it...possibly because it comes with its box?

Its a pretty cool box lol. Thing is the one you'd want isn't this one, its the 2.4Mhz stardust, that piece is just legendary cool. But then it just has a cardboard box.

Yeah I got a couple of those ;-) I'd really love to own a full 18k 1300...or 1510...or OMC like this one :

Ah, no, unfortunately, I didn't realize you were referring to the full 18k 2.4Mhz stardust originally, just to the 2.4Mhz stardust. I think there's a guy on WUS who has a couple of them though, or maybe one and a couple of 18k 1300s. I guess they were a lot more affordable 10 years ago...

Sadly everything was more affordable 10 years ago :( If I'd known that I'd have put my money in a 2915 Speedmaster rather than blowing thousands on computer graphics cards back then lol.

Nothing wrong with the steel 2.4Mhz Stardusts, I love those dials in any metal.

Electroquartz.jpg I've just recently inherited this one from 1977 but am looking for any information I can get about it - I'll get some better images shortly but any help gratefully received! (No box, but papers for this one) Thanks, Matt

It looks like reference BA 191.0003 (not on Omega Vintage site...) to me, 34 x 44.7 x 11 mm. More pics would be great indeed.

Thanks for that - I've been given a Constellation specific site that I'll check out and also will post more pics here that are larger, clearer and show more detail.
    Cheers

Ok, what site is that? I'm not aware of too many places where these EQs are discussed ;-)

Sorry for the late replay - it is the http://omega-constellation-collectors.blogspot.com.au which you are undoubtedly aware of - (I wasn't).

I can't find much on EQs there though - still searching! The good news is mine is humming away happily - I'm waiting on a new strap and I'll post some better quality pics.
    cheers

Yes, the webmaster posts here, but I'm not aware of any articles about the rare EQ watches over there. Did you get a chance to take more pics? I still think it's a BA 191.0003.

Hi webvan - here are some pics on an interim strap - still trying to decide what I want to go with. It is definitely a 191.0003 - that is stamped inside the case IMG_3174.JPG IMG_3177.JPG IMG_3182.jpg IMG_3183.JPG Cover.JPG photo.JPG

I don't mind the look of it on the Nato - but it is going on to a good quality leather strap once I source a replacement Omega buckle. (Although I might keep it on the nato for a while for Privateday7's ongoing amusement.::bleh:: )
