The serial number is 2544 which must be the very last to go in a 105.003. My '66 and '67 Speedmasters both have serial numbers earlier than that, I guess Omega just had a random selection of movements when they put all these together
I really wonder.... well, this one has a nice DON-bezel, but Dial ist a re-lume. Hands appear original (spear hand is longer at the end than the replacement ones). Price is quite a difference to the one that went last week http://www.ebay.ch/itm/321662832709?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Movement no seems ok. the 105.003-65 were produce until 67 - so number should be fine.
Auction has ended. Looks like someone went in at the BIN or did a deal quickly after this thread appeared.
Yes, it had ended when I created the thread. I was observing it on ebay and when I woke up today it had ended. Just wanted to hear your opinion. So the relume ruined it?
Wobbly lume. ".....Owned since new....." So any normal valuation would have to have added to it the "barn find/one owner premium" But for me, as Neil said, this is not a watch for me.
Hi I would tend to agree with comments around more pictures of the case....I'm also not familiar with the people that Serviced the movement & (I'm guessing) relumed the dial & refinished the case too....how sympathetically was that done ? I'd be looking to replace the dial and adjust the price accordingly....so I'm thinking it's at least £1k+ over priced. Best - Neil
The bezel also looks worse in the other picture as the light shows more of the flaking while it gets hidden by shadows in the first pic. Not the worst but for the money you'd be aiming higher than average.
What's up with the "OMEGA Speedmaster" text? It looks a bit like handwritten? On Speedy 101 all the texts have machine fonds!?
