Dropping your new Speedmaster IS painful... I know from experience. Wrecking a brand new Ferrari, well that's just plain ridiculous.
Eh, it's not like it was new; the 430 has been out for over a decade now. It was likely just new to the owner, as you can't buy a new Ferrari without first buying one used.
Lambos are much better at this. Plenty of examples on YT, they put a pressure oil line right across the exhaust on the Gallardo (and R8 V10), doesn't always work out...
I think this practice started with the 458, since it was the first "regular" model in a while that truly created a splash with its design, and they kept production levels low - and in order to buy one I think you either must have a used Ferrari or have bought a California or something. Could have changed now with the 488, but I think there's still a long waiting list with some conditions for ownership
