Hi my friends. I would ask a little help to decide what to do with this pink gold Connie, deluxe version. MOY test is ok Under my opinion, and I don’t care it is repaint. Case conditions: I would rate ok also But before to buy I would like to hear evidence from the experts ! Here’s some pics. Thanks in advance
Well it looks like a nice Connie. Case not too polished. Shame about the dial degradation. Do you have any other full images of the watch? Couple of things. I’m not sure it is a De Luxe without a gold dial. I’d want a movement shot given the moisture damage to the dial. And check that crown is pink - it looks very yellow in the images. What’s the asking price?
Thanks for your analysis. Unfortunately no more pics... Really could the movement have something to do. With dial damage? I try to ask... Asking is about 2,9k.
The bezel has met the polishing wheel at least one time too many for my taste. Peemac mentioned the movement because if the dial has been affected by moisture, what did the moisture do to the movement?
The dial furniture is pink gold (hand rivited), which if I'm not mistaken was called deluxe style (or something), but this model also came as a De Luxe model, which also had a solid gold dial. Like these:
Maybe I made a mistake: I understud after the post of @Foo2rama that this dial were not correct for this case... In fact he spoke about dial issue not ok.
It was my opinion too. But I’m a little puzzled because I thought gold dials was virtually immune to those damage... I’m wrong ?
it doesn't have gold dial -hence my original comment on 'de luxe' it has gold indices see @BartH 's pics for gold dials and the lacquer on gold dials can degrade too
It is the well know dilemma: when you buy at a distance... it isn’t the ideal situation, but it’s the only way!
