    So I won this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1962-VINTAGE-OMEGA-SEAMASTER-300-ref-165-014-DIVE-WATCH-/272425076902?Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

Gosh, its ugly. And man, so much is wrong. Bezel is terrible, dial has a shit relume. Hands are spotting. At least the case is good (but maybe the case back is a replacement. But, the real reason I bought it:

I needed a bracelet for my 2998. And, it just arrived. and that bracelet is clean!

Now to go find a replacement dial, and bezel :(

If those are real #6 ends, that's a helluva score!

What that stamp beside the Swiss made on the under side of the clasp? Where the date stamp would be?

Golf clap. Bracelet's probably worth the $2500 alone. Plan for the watch? Break it up for parts?

Nice score, I had taken one look at the dial and closed that tab sharpish, so just goes to show it pays to look a little closer!
Good luck on the dial hunt

I'd love to find a dial for it, and just dump the shitty bezel. But we will see. I already have one... but two's company right?

Getting all the lume removed from the dial would improve it considerably!
That is indeed a prudent buy. I had glanced at it, but did not bother looking at bclt or end pieces in detail. In todays market, you have probably saved yourself at least $1k if you had to buy a 7912 and #6 on their own (if you could find #6 that is). Well done!
