hi again Going thru some old photos... 1st gen Moon Watch w box and instructions on its original 1039! Will let photos speak for themselves !
Yes, reproduce bezel and later hour and min hands ( at the time about 20 years ago I wanted new hands that glowed , should have original hand in a tin somewhere!
That's the first actual 2915 I've ever seen of this forum, regardless of some of the parts being later replacements.
And you let me show up to the NY GTG feeling like I was stunting with a ghost-bezel 105.003. edit: because I figured there'd be something like that 2915 there. for the 2915 cause damn, man!
That's awesome, have you had it for a long time? You're the first person I've seen on here even claim to have a 2915.
Hi guys I have been away from the net for years and the hobby , I used to be very active on line , was the omega forum moderator at TZ in the 90s , then purist then dropped off the net for sometime. I had the 2915 since mid 90's think maybe earlier .. Bill
Hi Collect wha. Like , I am not a condition guy ..... I am fine with an honest worn watch.... I hav friends who will only buy mint mint examples ... And pay for it! But when you get to that level I don't want to be counting every bump , scratch dent I put on a watch. But that is me ... Bill
Well thank you very much for sharing the photos. Hopefully you're back for a while now on OF. If you have that much experience with these watches we could all learn a lot from you for sure.
Heck I was a little stunned what a HA60 2221 omega RAFC chrono went for in the sales forum , actually what the ask is as we don't know what buster actually sold it for.... I have one, I Rembrandt budding on it over a dial up line and reserve was not met ! Pay no attention to the white dialed Railmaster as I sold that one years ago to a watch friend!
The watch pictured in my avatar... Is a Franken someone took a 30 mm movement in a pocket watch case added lugs and a strap! They did a great job on the dial.... Even said chronometre ,I then looked at the movement and it was a 30 T2Rg ! Had to buy it!
It is a cool watch and I love it (thanks! ), and that evening was a ton of fun hanging around with you & everyone else. But I would have spontaneously combusted were there an honest-to-god 2915 there!!!
