An obvious question I am sure...

OK, I am usually pretty Tech savvy, but I can't figure out how to reply to sections of posts, e.g a specific line/sentence in a post - I am sure it is copy+paste or forward or something but I am at a loss.

Also searched on google but can't find out so I am admitting defeat and asking 🤔

Cheers,
Dave

You just hit reply and move the cursor and delete the bits you don’t want

then jump out of the -QUOTE- section and type your reply 👍

Try replying and deleting this line

Just testing to see if this gives me multiple grey boxes in the same reply

Try replying and deleting this line

If this stays visible and I have 2 grey boxes I have cracked it 😁

To get two grey boxes you have to reply twice and delete the section in each reply

if you want to reply to 3 questions you have to reply three times and edit each question

Your welcome

and if you put a @ before a members name ( after @ and 3 letters a drop down of members comes up )

like

@DJG2645

it tags them and sends them a alert that you have tagged them.

Was easier than showing my mother how to SMS many years ago.
Lol! When my mother got her first texty phone I had to keep replying “TAKE OFF THE NUMBERS LOCK!!”.
Now she is emoji crazy 🤦

I remember a couple decades ago when my first wife showed me how she could PMS. She made it look totally effortless.

(on a side note, I cannot teach my 77 year old mother anything computer or phone related. She knows what she was taught for a job 10+ years ago, and regularly fights against learning anything new. She has refused for the last 2 years to have me walk her through setting up Skype so she can have video calls with her grandson. Every time we start to go through it she panics and bails after just a couple minutes.)

Thank you Standy for starting this. I have been looking for a page of "how to's" covering some of these basics. I fumbled through posting of a picture on the Blue dial pages but am still confused over many of the terms and acronyms.
I've been "browsing" along in this forum for several weeks now, learning more about Omega watches. I never knew there were so many!
Now for a test. I'll try adding a picture of my first Omega.
