    Hi,
    I bought this one without checking and thinking it was a CK994.

    Different light orientation, giving a better view of the dial :

    I was wrong but when I checked, it appeared to be a CK973, a more interesting one.

    Here it is in a 1935 French catalog :

    As they say (in French), curved case to fit the shape of the wrist :

    But what I find interesting in this model, is that the case is held by 4 screws :

    I first supposed it was a repair attempt, but it was designed like that (the catalog says that the case is hermetically closed with screws).

    That's the only Omega model I know from this period, when they were experienceing different systems for improving air/water tightness, that has this system.

    Very nice find.

    I've seen other cases of the era with a screws securing the caseback, though not an Omega.

    Yes, I was talking about Omega. The most famous case from this era held with screws being the Reverso.

    Nice dial ::love::

    Do the screws do anything to pull the case top down onto a seal, or do they only keep the two parts together?

    Yes, I love the dial also. The screws only keep the two parts together. No seal here. It is more a complement to dust cover than any kind of water protection.
