An Experiment

On Saturday during the NFL games every second TV commercial seemed to be about 3D Crystal. The same commercial over and over again.

I looked up the website and thought, why not?

Since I am patiently waiting for my flightmaster to be serviced, I uploaded this photo to the 3D website… four minutes later, I was done… The cost was low - $70 or so and I added a lit base. It has already arrived - 3 days later.

The result is OK. The flightmaster is a busy watch but I can still make out the fine details. It is in 3D but the best view is from straight on. Looking from above it looks way off. View attachment 1525376 The lit base can be plugged into the wall or runs on three AA batteries.

An interesting experiment that may look even better with a different watch.

Does it serve a purpose? I guess it makes a cool night light and once I get the flightmaster, it will be a conversation piece.

My son got me one of these for Christmas last year, different brand, but same concept.. using photos of my dogs. The quality is really amazing, a bit higher resolution based solely on you photo's above. Very cool though. Artpix was the company he purchased from.

Very cool!

Brain Blast: wondering if they would let me submit a photo of my Schwanson... 25 years of marriage, get the lighted base, place it on The Wife's side of the bed on her nightstand, you know -- a reminder of what used to be.

The purpose: do this for any watch you sell, and then relive the memories when you regret letting it go. Your family may question your sanity, but your watches will understand you.

Kidding aside, that service looks kinda fun.

Nice... obviously you've been talking to my wife.

Can't buy a break in this life.
