Am I the only parent whose 4 and 6 year old children sleep in on Christmas?

My parents had a rule that we had to wait at the top of the stairs until 6:00 am. My kids haven't even woken up yet. What is your Christmas morning like?

I have a two year old that doesn't quite get the Christmas thing yet, who is currently crying because she doesn't want to change her diaper and only wants to read the Lorax. That's our morning so far.

My boy is with grandma since they went to midnight mass last night. They will Coke in a bit and we'll do the presents and turkey and singing and dancing and napping and so forth . This gives my wife and me a nice slow morning to....celebrate.

And before you ask... No pictures.

our son is 2 years, 10 months old. He doesn't really get the Christmas thing yet. Got up at 8 am and watched Curious George for an hour. My wife gave him two things to open between 9 and 11 am. He's currently outside walking around with Grandma. We will likely attack the gift pile after lunch. I suspect this will change substantially next year, as he will have a lot more awareness and expectations.

Well the wrapped presents didn't last long. They ripped through them like a tornado, took longer to clean up than it did to open them.

    Merry Christmas!
