A new found friend posed the question to me tonight "am I still a collector?". Even though things have been a bit stagnant in the watch department lately, I have been collecting other things:D.

But I would still like to think that I am a collector and breathe some new life into the collection hopefully early next year. Hope that this still counts as a collection; (crap Pics sorry)

Just because you paused to catch your breath does not mean you are no longer a collector.

You're probably just evolving from collector/accumulator to collector. I'm still trying to make the move from accumulator to collector/accumulator.

Hey can we play a new game? If I get to guess the model and year of a watch...can I keep?

No self respecting collector would have an empty spot in his case...not even counting the one on his wrist :)

    [stunning collection]

Think you need an Invicta or two to bolster your collection.

A collection and a collector are not the same things. It's about future intent - and since you mentioned adding something in the future, you are indeed a collector...with an enviable collection.

This is exactly right - just because you have a collection, does not make you a collector. I inherited boxes of carbide mining lamps - I have a collection of them, but I am definitely not a collector of them.

Your obviously not a collector and have never been. Heck I'll help you out and take that obviously fake gold speedy with the red bezel off of your hands. I'll pay shipping and even put a few dollars in for your trouble.

;) does it have a good number?

    Those are interesting distinctions.
Could you kindly enlighten a newbie as to what the "collector" element adds to the equation vs. "accumulator"?
Are you implying the collector is a bit more discerning than the other characters?
