    Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum and I would appreciate the help of some vintage omega passionado's. My sister picked up a omega watch for close to nothing on a fleamarket and I'm doubting wheather it is a authentic omega seamaster. This is because on allmost all the watches I could find online the automatic script on the dail is under the seamaster and on mine it's under the omega script. The rest seems to match up with. I've added some pictures of the model I found online.

    Best,

    G

Looks fine to me. Probably from the 70s and carrying either a Cal 1000/1010 or 1002/1012. Still has the original crystal and crown, and by the looks of it bracelet. These ones below you've listed are all 'redials' where they've been repainted to look like new. That's not to say that the font is wrong, but what you have is also quite correct.

Not bad for "next to nothing." Might need a tune up but for the price of a service you may still get nice value from that piece. Nice find.

You think so? I'm not known with the movement but I looked up the servicing price estimation on the omega website and that's quite steep (450 euro's). I really don't know the value of these models maybe a cheaper local watchmaker is a better option.

Yeah, don't use Omega for servicing on vintage pieces. A service from a good watchmaker will probably run you around 150 EUR.
