Hi all -- Came across the following in Moonwatch Only, in the section on "special" bezels (the telemeter/re, pulsometer, decimal ones):

"These bezels are still available from OMEGA as accessories but have a few minor differences from the original versions." (underline mine)

I had assumed that the currently available special bezels were service parts to replace the ones that used to come on Speedmasters as factory options (from the early 1960s up to at least 1986 according to MWO), but "accessories" seems to imply otherwise. Does this mean an OB or AD will order and fit one of these on a modern Speedy? Has anyone done this?

And what are people's thoughts on sourcing one of these and replacing the bezel on a recent model Speedmaster-- if these are "accessories" does that make it a mod or just a supported option, more similar to changing a bracelet?
