·Morning all,
just wondering whether anybody has info on the Alpina calibre 592 issued up to and including 1943 to the German armed forces. I know DH were issued to the Heed(Army) and D were issued to the Luftwaffe, but does anyone know which serving Luftwaffe personnel would have been issued with these, officers, ground crew, etc?? As I know it was an expensive Suisse watch in 1943 hence why purchase ceased by the Reich and in-house production began in 1943.
It’s a fascinating history researching vintage watches etc, but not much info on these lovely vintage time pieces.
