Seems to be quite a few members here chasing Grails or selling a previous one for a new so I figured I'd share my Grail that I was finally able to receive today. A 105.003-65, 24m serial. Turned out ok and the patina is just right for my liking, with just a subtle hint of brown around the subs (impossible to show in photos), pushers look original shape, replacement crown, but to my surprise I don't think the watch has seen a polishing wheel. The chamfers are soft but visible. Such a joy to have a hunt come to a close, but I know the urge will be back soon. Thanks to all here who help in this search and the sharing of knowledge for new collectors. OF is truely a gem forum. Now to send it off to STS. And just for Dennis, my 14900-62. Cheers!
Is this the one from the good will / Salvation Army auction? The crystal looks familiar. Either way, good catch!
It was, I was confident in my evaluation and the dial color is the kind I like, was a bit worried about the movement but today it was in good condition and within serial # range. With a service at STS I don't think I'll regret the choice.
