Hi All,

Over the last 18 months, I've befriended an ex-omega dealer.
I recently asked to purchase some of his old (used) stock. After much deliberation, he's agreed and I picked out the following five (5) watches.

Before I pull the trigger I would like your opinion.

With each watch, I'll the parts he has available/stock. For example a new bezel for the 120, the correct crowns, gaskets, a new Omega 18mm strap, and a 16mm stainless daployant clasp.

1) Seamaster 120 cal. 563
2) Seamaster Cal 552.
3) Seamaster Cal 562
4) Seamaster Waffle Dial
5) De Ville

I personally want the 120 and Waffle Dial, I plan to give my wife Seamaster (2) cal 552 and my brother-in-law wants the Deville.

Asking price 4K

I like the waffle dial chronometer. The SM120 is not appealing because of the lume condition on hands and dial.

Financially, the price seems fine to me on first glance. Note that some of the service parts might also have significant value, the bezel for the SM120 for example. Not sure about all the crowns (the one on the DV and one of the SMs seems a bit chunky?), but if they’re all mechanically in decent shape you won’t lose money on this.

The SM120 definitely needs reluming, but I’m sure people here can recommend someone qualified for the job.

Thank you for the guidance thus far.

Follow-up question. The seller has a new bezel for the 120. Should I put it on?

So $4000 = to £2836. I have been watching the auctions again of late and a few pieces came up yesterday that maybe helpful in establishing a value of some of the pieces there.

The bezel is very, very hard to find, in fact as good as impossible.

If he has more buy them all, there are many people looking for this part

I think the OP stated in his initial post that the bezel was included. 😀 Definitely a significant bonus. Not sure what these go for exactly but given their rarity I assume it’s a nice bonus.

So you're saying I should read the words, and not just look at the pretty pictures? 😲

Thank you, based on your images my quote is right considering no bracelets and servicing.
