Sure, there may be a few grails you haven't nailed yet. But in general, have you fulfilled most of your collecting goals, and if so, what are you doing to fill the void now? M'Bob.
I have a Speedmaster Professional and a Watcho Seamaster 300. With these two, there is nothing else. And there is no void. Tom
I don't consider myself a collector (I don't have a particular focus on brand, model, age, or type of watch) so really I just buy something when it strikes me.
The vintage omega universe is massive - I just bounce from one model/style to another then back again. I still have a few models that I would like to own (and have resigned myself to likely never owning them due to lack of availability and/or current price) but hasn't stopped me from hoping, dreaming, searching and then coming back to earth and occasionally to pick up many consolation prizes!
Mike, do you mean Constellation prize? I'm almost done. And probably will remain in that state indefinitely.
Yes. Been there, done that - mostly. From battery powered circuits that tell time to Vacheron and Audemars, from chrome plated brass cases to precious metals, whether Japanese, Swiss, or American, I've been a watch nut since the mid 90's. Been on the forums for over 7 years mostly as a moderator. To me, when your hobby becomes a task (or worse, a business) it's not fun anymore. Keeping proper records, buying and selling, researching..... it used to be a joy, or at least a labor of love. Can't deny that I've met some awesome people and made a handful of great friends though!
