I am the current owner of the watch which I bought from eBay in January.

If you look at the Seller's feedback, same exact watch was ended on March 9 with a positive feedback posted on his profile.

perhaps he has several of these, we all know how similar these watches can look... and he just got the pictures mixed in the various listings? (yeah, right!) -- would like to hear his response!

In that condition with that bracelet yes. Great patina on the lume and flawless hands. 5k would be a good deal for the buyer and the seller wouldn't be ashamed of the price. But 5.5-6k would not be out of line either.

 

What I don't understand is how eBay and PayPal can keep allowing this to happen? Someone is losing or paying the $5000. This listing is not as devious on the surface as the new ID's with zero feedback selling watches at half price or less. Is it Buyer Beware on every watch for sale on eBay, unless you know the seller, and that is almost impossible? The days of good/great buys on eBay may be over.

 

Actually it looks like it was sold, not ended. Some body lost $5000. They need to start prosecuting these scammers.

 

What perplexes me is the fact that the same exact watch was listed, sold and already received one positive feedback. Here's the link dated Mar 9. Question is: who leaves the positive feedback without actually completing the transaction?
