The whole croton nivada thing throws me off all the time. I know it was name changes for the ability to sell in some countries...or something like that. But anyway. What are your guys' thoughts on this? It looks clean...almost too clean... it's in my price range now but I fear in this condition it will skyrocket.
If anyone's interested, a guy in Denmark has this Nivada Grenchen "Antarctic" Compensamatic from 1964 for sale for around £200. No affiliation with the seller.
And now there are more. I'm probably going to have to either prune the list, or figure out some kind of plan/order for purchasing and then selling.
Congrats! Kudos on your persistence, and welcome to the club, Aaron! Just be careful not to cut yourself on those lugs ...
hello all. it was suppose to be a different message. happy message. I finally found wanderer. 50km from my house. NOS! such a shame that auction was 2 weeks earlier. and nobody noticed it, nobody got it for 650eur. that might be my purchase of the year. Untouched. original unworn, like one from @dougiedude anyway, contacted them. auction was today, AGAIN. much more interest. sold for 1800 eur. at least i tried it on. warming messages from you would help to recover my broken heart.
Some good and unusual stuff here - thanks to everyone who's posted. I'll have to get busy now updating https://nivadanirvana.blogspot.com/
Great site there Davy26! Count me in as a Nivadavista and I have several in my collection that are not yet on your database. The Antarctic I posted above seems to be of a similar style to the one being retailed by Goldsmithsworks. Is your site open to include vintage Crotons too?
Yes, it's been on my to-do-list for ages to get Croton datasheets set-up. Anything you might care to contribute would be most welcome. Thanks.
