I am cheap. One day I went out and saw a friend who lives paycheck to paycheck with a Rolex on his wrist. I came home and started shopping for luxury watches, but my mind just could not rationalize spending all that money. For two weeks, I was indecisively adding and removing the watch from an online shopping cart. Then I went into work and had such a stressful day that I wanted to jump off a building. I started asking myself, "What's the point of all this? Why can't I just treat myself to a nice watch and have a little fun? I could die tomorrow and all of this would be for naught." I came home and added and removed the watch a few more times, closed my eyes, then hit the order button. I received the watch today. I am so happy. I made the right decision!
Congrats and welcome to the message board. You made the right decision! I am surprised no alcohol was involved in this story. And I totally get the cheap part.
Great out come, and now you will not feel like jumping off a building with your fancy expensive watch on.
I'm afraid this is the last one for a long while If not for the diapers to purchase and the mouths to feed, I would really like a Nomos Tangente, Minimatik or a Metro. But I don't foresee this happening any time soon!
I've got a nomos Zurich Braungold for sale at the moment https://omegaforums.net/threads/nomos-zurich-braungold.53316/
Congrats! enjoy your new watch and stay worry/stress free! ...and welcome! also, good decision in getting a deployant too!
Congrats. I believe your word is frugal as you know a good value and will pay for it. Cheap is rather always trying to look for the lowest price even if it is a highly inefficient use of time.
lol thank you I tried taking a wrist shot with my DSLR, but the only lens I have is a 85mm and it won't focus at this close of a distance. And my cell phone camera is dead.
Very nice watch and big congrats!!! Now go to the site below and start planning and saving for retirement!!! https://www.bogleheads.org/forum/index.php
