    Hey there,

Just got a 2471-1 where the hands sadly are missing the lume/radium.

Any recommendation how to tackle that - any experience on the price when sending to omega and get new old stock hands?

Didn't really find those hands online.

Maybe the lume can be applied again? Happy for recommendation on watchmakers (best in Germany or Switzerland) able to do it nicely based on your experience.

    thanks guys!!

You can get those hands relumed, whether using actual luminous paint or non-luminous paint. I know of one person in the US so we'll have to wait for your EU friends to supply a better answer for you.

Quite a few inside EU. UK with Brexit not advisable.

Thx for the posts and recommendations so far.

    Just an update:

Found a local watch maker who will mix the lume (non glowing) and apply it.
    Once done will upload pics.

Hopefully it'll be good but he is in the business since quite a while (40years+).

If in any circumstances it's not as expected - I was thinking of sourcing the hands from somewhere.. the issue is I didn't find the omega numbers for it and I also didn't find any supplier for those.

    Any hints for this?

Stop trying. If you really need new hands, your watchmaker can source them from a material supply house (at least called that in USA). Even to this day, many of them are "secret" and are known in the trade only.

Watchmaker stated no chance to get the hands.

Hands are relumed now but I guess the issue is, the hands are not in perfect condition anymore.

That still looks pretty good. It’s an old watch.

Still not happy but I can't find the exact same hands ...

Have some other radium hands in silver which I might consider to have put in the watch.

Assume those are Luminous Lance/Alpha vs the Luminous Baton with fine points

Pro is hands alone will look much more nicer -
Con is I haven't seen a 2471 in this iteration with those types of hands.

Do you thinks it's worth it?

No, I'd leave them as they are.

I've seen those hands more often on the gold top 2606. In steel I'm not sure which reference they would be for if not the 2471, anyone?
