I’m just after a little feedback on this 5513. Bad points and good points would be greatly appreciated. Sellers comments: “Rolex Submariner 5513 with original matt tritium dial with a nice and matching creme-patina. The 302XXXX serial indicates a 1972 production. The backlid has a 1972 engraving, and the Rolex CI rivitted band has a 1973 stamp. According to the name and date written on the punched papers the watch The Sub comes with the inner and outer boxes, green folder, anchor, and papers great condition”
The pics are not the best. Would really like a side shot to see the lug holes and a close up on the lugs. Hands look good and dial too, from what I can tell.
Owned some Subs. Here are my two cents: + serifs on non-circle indices look authentic - as well as at the letters from what I can tell. + nice matching patina on indices and hands + hands have some patina/flash rust or dirt or scratches (a bit unsure because of the picture's quality) + caliber looks fine on the one picture (maybe better quality would help) + original box & papers make it even more valuable >> all in all: Nice watch. How much is it?
The photos are from the below site and the watch is showing as sold. https://www.subgmt.com/sold/submari...apers-1972-sold-in-1974/_427_w_3518_5493_GB_1 I would be concerned about a possible scam and would recommend you request photos and proof of ownership from the current seller.
