    Hi guys,

I have been lurking around small ads and I came accross a 145.022-68 speedie. I just wanted some thoughts and help from experts there.

Everything looks good and original, except for the 861 movement, if I read the serial correctly it's supposed to be from 1971...

The seller is asking 4900$ open to discussion.

    Thanks for your help ! 20190315_151946.jpg 20190315_152310.jpg 20190315_151758.jpg 20190315_151602.jpg 20190315_130511.jpg 20190315_130251.jpg

It looks like a 30.5m serial number. It wouldn't be correct for a 68.
Maybe it would look more like a 69 who has had the caseback swapped? Bezel is a modern service part.

Can you teach me how you can say the dial and bezel are not correct for a 68 ?

I tried to identify the parts with the speedmaster101 website and it looks like I missed something.

The dial should have an applied metal Omega logo instead of a printed one.

The bezel should have the dot above the 90 and not next to it.

I made the mistakes because I had read that some 68 have the painted logo on the dial. Well thanks for the informations. As usual this forum is very helpful for novices like me looking for help.

The indices are also longer on a 68.

Here are 2 145.022-68 examples. Either chrono center seconds hand is considered correct.

Drop end chrono hand on a 145.022? Thought the 145.012's were the last to carry those?

Humm. 145.022-68 Drop chrono second hand is
    Questionable in MWO 1st Edition.
Not correct in MWO 2nd Edition.

    William says either is ok.
