    Hi everyone,
I've been hunting a decent 105.012-66 for a while and I may have finally found one. The watch looks beautiful and the guy is asking a "reasonable" price, I think.(around $14k)
My question being, is the cal321 of this baby in good condition ? I'm not an expert so I thought it was the good place to ask for advices :)
I know the movement is in need of an urgent service but my concerns are more related to the originality and condition of the 321 present in the watch
Apparently this Speedmaster has spent the last 40 years in a drawer ! As a result, last service has been done in the 70s !
Everything is original minus the crown, replaced by Omega during last service.
Bracelet is a 1506/16 and the watch is sold with an extract of archives.
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of pictures to post.

    Thanks !

Movement appears okay and, perhaps more importantly, the hour register does not seem to exhibit chrono creep.

Looks great to me. Really like the dial lume. Solid Don, nice case and movement looks fine.
Pay for it, fulll mechanical service, then good to go :)

Yes, for me the watch ticks all the boxes, can't wait to see it for real !
I am going to grab this beauty next week, she is located 600kms away, I think it's worth the trip :)
Full mechanical service planned, with plenty of good oil for the 321 movement !

I don't know if I am an Omega collector, for sure I'm a fan of Speedmasters since I was a kid, so a 105.012...:D

The lume has a striking yellow colour. Be sure to examine it under the loupe + UV to make sure it's original.

Yes... but there is still stuff to do after you purchase your watch. Being located in Europe means you have easier access to Simon Freese Watchmakers or Swiss Time Services. (both located on the South East coast of the island of Great Britain.:) Every cloud has a silver lining mate!;)

I agree, I already started to look for a good place to send the watch, STS is definitely on my list, too bad I left London couple of years ago, now I'm located in the sweet land of frogs :D

Yes but.... (depending in which region you live) We demonstrated in a similar thread last week that it can be turned into a lovely trip to London :)and Essex:( on Eurostar. I think it would be an enjoyable and informative experience for any forum member to have a guided tour by Tony Coe around Swiss Time Services UK or a 1 to 1 chat about your watch with Simon Freese. It would really 'add to' your purchase.

I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to chat to both of them as part of my watch service. If you get the chance, give it a go.

A lovely trip to London, are you mad ? then Essex ? You wanna kill me !!
More seriously, you are right about the chat, I'd be delighted !!
I'm in south of France so it's a bit more than just the Eurostar
