Sooo.... I have a collection of Omegas. The Speedmasters include the Mk II up and various Reduced, but as for "Moonwatches" I have: 105.012, straight text, a Transitional, Apollo 11 Panda, Apollo 11 40th, Alaska, and an 145.022 daily... at some point I will add an Ed White and a Gemini Blue. But what next? I can add earlier Speedies, it's not the price (though the way the prices are going that might change) more the availability of an authentic, good example. The recent Basel World models all leave me cold Anyway...... the challenge is this - what next/else? I buy watches that I can wear and which could also be sold (better than keeping cash in the bank). What should I buy next? What's the sweet spot between wearability and investment? Thanks! Ps - I'm not averse to Seamasters and Constellations....
A Seiko SKX 'Cause everybody needs an inexpensive ultra reliable beater. You could ask @Mad Dog but I think he's currently on a Hamilton binge.
well thats subtle..... but it does get the point across nicely. one day I'll need to hunt one of those down.
How about a watchco sm300? Bit of vintage, bit of modern, all omega, sturdy beater, you can swim etc, yet elegant enough to also wear it with formal attire. No wrist sushi will ever come close to it... Here's a pic I believe our very own @ChrisN posted in the FS section not too long ago...
