This is the first time i am posting here and so, would really appreciate it if the seniors can guide me on the proper protocol. I am looking at a vintage Seamaster from a - I believe - bona fide website. However, I am not sure if it is a good buy. Can a moderator please PM me? Many thanks in advance.

You can post the watch and where it is at, with links, here and without problem, as long as it is not a fake or replica watch. Sent you a PM

    Realist,
Perfectly fine to post this here. You want input from members of varied areas of knowledge and I assure you no one here will snatch it from you, especially at the price.

Also Realist would like input on the seller if anyone has dealt with him or has knowledge.

Original dial. Hour and minute hands look ok but seconds hand isn't an original lollipop. Bezel though neatly done is redone and not original. Price is high for the condition of the watch.

Second that... the original configuration should be like this (with the original lollipop hand that is)

    Good luck with the search

This is simple-looking watch and yet a true classic. Unfortunately not many original examples can be found today.

    Thank-you.
