Hi I have a Speedy reduced but I need to do something with the hour hand
I know the easy way is to replace it but I want to keep it original so can I colour it ? If so with what ? IMG_2379.JPG

I would be more concerned as to why it turned brown rather than what colour to paint it. I suggest you send it off for a service. They will return the hand to you if you ask them.

There's seriously no point painting it, its a luminova reduced, the new hand you get is 100% perfectly identical to the one it had, that hand will never be original again... The watch itself though and movement would be a far greater concern...

That sort of staining typically happens when there's water intrusion and rust, I'd have that thing to a watchmaker asap.

The hand has tritium lume so any new hand you get will not match the rest of the watch. Get your watchmaker to paint it when you get the watch serviced.

One view is to change the hands and the new ones will look the same as the original ones is to paint the hour hand as the the new ones will not match so I now don't know which way to go [emoji33][emoji33][emoji33][emoji33]

    How will they not match?

    It's superluminova, not tritium.

As many others have said, the cause of the rusty hand is of much greater concern. Let's hope your watchmaker knowns what they're doing.

May be wrong entirely, the frustration of reading ongoing threads where good advice is give and the OP ignoring it is clearly effecting my ability to do research on his behalf.

Let's see how many more parts are needed for the cause of that rusty mark....

I don't think the OP is ignoring the advice given. He said he's going to take the watch to be serviced on Tuesday.

Have you worked out why the hands are rusting/getting rusty marks on them?

Just changing the hands, if there's been water inside (which it looks like there has), does not fix/investigate the underlying problem - of how those rusty marks got on the hands in the first place.

It's like taking a car with a blown up engine and no gearbox to have a new paint job.

Actually that a WTB thread, and there was another one yesterday on the same watch:

    https://omegaforums.net/threads/3510-50-hour-hand.58091/

Only the OP can tell us if the hands and dial on the watch are tritium or not. The white balance in the photos isn't great, so difficult to say for sure.

When you don't like the answer you get, keeping asking in different places until you do...
