First time post here on Omega Forums. I am getting ready to purchase a new Seamaster PO and need some advice and/or opinions about which size watch to get. I have a small wrist, about 6.75" and can't decide if the 37.5mm or 42mm case would be a better fit for me. I currently have a Tag Kirium 37mm that fits me well but I feel like the smaller PO loses its great looks compared to the larger 42 and 45mm cases. Also the 37.5mm bracelet looks really narrow and almost better suited for a woman.

    Here is the 42mm

    And the 37.5

I realize this is all personal opinion but I'd appreciate any input from guys with smaller wrist that have faced this decision. The obvious thing to do would be to go try both on but there is not an Omega dealer anywhere near me.

    Hi

It's very personal but I would get the 42mm

If you've never wore a large heavy watch it takes a little time to adjust to you really need to try them. Go find a store that sells other brands with similar sizes just to get a feel. It really is a personal thing

It really is totally a personal preference as @brunik mentioned. I happen to have a 6.75" wrist as well and nearly the exact same watch, but on a strap.

When I started wearing this, I came from wearing a much smaller DeVille, so the thing felt massive initially, but now it feels just right.

Consider, as well, how high the watch will sit on your wrist and if you'll be wearing a watch of this size with tight shirt cuffs or not.

So in the end, to be confident about your choice, you'll probably want to go out of your way to find a boutique or an authorized dealer and try on difference sizes to be sure, but I think 42mm is a great a size for me personally.

All I can say is that I had the 45,5 for a brief moment, and it was massive. Great watch though !

You have the older 2500 42mm and he is looking for the newer 8500 (newest been the 8900 which comes out in 39,5 and 43,5 -- I own the 43,5mm), just setting this right since the 8500 has thicker and heavier case... Your size is good for the 42mm, best to do is try both but I reckon that if you go with the smaller you might regret it... yet again it's up to you and how you want to wear the watch!!

Good catch, yet the OP @screwynewy referenced a 42mm case diameter in their query, which is what I should've been more clear that I was offering a visual example of with my 2500.

I think the only additional point I'll make to the OP is to observe if the watch's length, measured from top to bottom lugs, doesn't overhang the width of your wrist, which may make it seem oversized for your wrist. But even on that, it's a totally personal call. With my PO I actually came to love the height that it sits on my wrist, and the overall "heft" of it, especially when I wore it with its bracelet. I like wearing my watches fairly loose and actually really like feeling it move around a bit. Meaning, I think, even a watch that feels initially big can come to grow on you a lot.

Your PO has the best case ever made for PO series, thin and light with low height or average height anyway.. that's why I went for the LMPO along with my 8900

OP should also consider the new 8900 at the 39,5mm case diameter, maybe he should try this as well.. here's a pic I took this morning, older 2500 case next to the new 8900, LMPO next to the new orange PO 43,5mm..

Thanks everyone for the comments - all very helpful as I consider all my options. The new 8900 w/ 39.5mm case might be the best option for me. I have read that it is a little thinner than the 8500. The 2500 w/ 42mm case could also be a possibility with its thinner case. I have definitely eliminated the 37.5mm due to its very narrow bracelet. Looks too much like a ladies watch for a men's divers watch.

42mm is a great size for PO. Resells well too. The 42 shouldn't overwhelm your wrist. If it were another model I may suggest smaller but you're good here.

Thanks for all of the comments and suggestions about which size PO to get. I ended up buying the 2500 in 42mm. I actually think it is a perfect size and it is a beautiful watch. Can't stop looking at it. I just have to get used to the extra weight - this is a heavy watch. IMG_3745-2.JPG

Congratulations!! Looks perfect on your wrist, weight is ok for the 2500 series, there are much heavier POs out there, this is the finest example in comfort, hope you always wear in good health
