Hi all, I am looking to buy a 105.012 or 145.012 (would be my first vintage watch/vintage Omega) but I want to get one at the right price and not get mugged. I've been doing a lot of reading and searching diligently and came across this, was wondering what people think?

I realise the bezel is a replacement and as a DNN the wrong type for the watch, I am also curious about the serial which appears to start 2052 1... which I believe would make it a 63 rather than a 66 as per the case back. Is that something to worry about? I can't quite figure out the crowns and pushers thing and whether they are original or not and how much it matters, but otherwise it looks good to me and thinking it might make a good first purchase?

    Seller is asking for Eur6900

Should have an applied metal logo stepped professional dial. Avoid.

Service dial. Domed, no aml, long indicies. And oddly narrow T’s.

Late 80’s post DNN. Technically the DNN is only the version with the serif font.

Now that I think about it. Didn’t this pop up last week or so? I think there is a thread on it. The Narrow T’s on a service dial are odd.

Indeed. The dial is the most interesting part of this watch. Note the appearance of OMEGA on the dial.

Would love to see the other side of the dial.

I postulate that service 321 dials where ordered in small batches post 1969. ( there might be pre pro service dials pre 69)

As they had limited need and limited shelf life my assumption is that most of these batches had small differences on them as we see. I’d also assume the Speedmaster font roughly changed at the same time production 861 dials changed as they used the same masters for the screen print.

This one is just really odd due to the narrow T’s.

Wrong dial, wrong bezel, wrong crown and serial number seems off. I would stay away from it.

For the sake of completeness let's also mention the service pusher at 4 o'clock. The movement definitely does not belong in this watch, see the symmetrical coupling yoke.

Wow - thanks all. Rookie mistake on my part I didn’t pick up on the lack of an AML which I 100% should have done as it’s one of the things I like about the 145.012 and 105.012. I put it down to a mixture of excitement and tiredness clouding my judgement. ::facepalm2:: In any case this is settled now, it’s just a bad watch all around and poor value. I’ll keep looking. Thanks again

If it is an official dealer that has offered you this watch, I would have a serious word with him about this watch. For Euro 6.900,- this is ridiculous.

Keep your eyes on the for sale section here. With some patience you will find the watch of your dreams there ;)
