I'm quite interested in this watch but would be grateful for input from the more experienced if there is anything I am missing. To me the dial looks nice and the movement appears to be in good condition. It looks like there is some brassing or corrosion on the pushers/crown, and some gunk. It's reported to be keeping good time but I suppose it would be safer to assume a service would probably be in its best interest. The asking price is in the $500 realm but maybe some wiggle room.
Dial and hands are certainly pretty. I had one very similar a few years ago but found it too small at the time. Also had a navy-blue dialled one with white subdials. I believe the cases other than the caseback itself on these are "chrome plated" rather than stainless steel and can look 'cheap' in the hand. There is some damage visible in these photos which makes it worse. As stated the crown and pushers look in poor state. The pushers don't appear to match and I'd guess the crown is wrong. Price is similar or even slightly lower than I paid back then. I'll try and find the link on WUS for the actual date and price and see if any pictures are still up. Edit: 2010 US$450 similar brassing of lower pusher. http://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/fs-vintage-vulcain-chrono-valjoux-7733-a-416338.html
