Hello everyone, Need some feedback on this 105.012-64. About to pull the trigger, but it’s from a private seller on Chrono24. Seems the only thing on is it doesn’t have the DO90 bezel, but despite countless hours of research, it would be my first vintage Omega. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
My other option would be this 105.012, likely a 65, right bezel, wrong crown, missing dust cover, chipped crown protector, $2700 less than the other:
Because you're a wiseass ? Besides that. OP, do you find any of those two particularly attractive? There are currently Pre-Moons offered here on OF that beat the two above by lenghts.
For example. I happen to know this one in the flesh (steel) and it's gorgeous. And "buy the seller" also works excellent here
I am a newbie and always willing to learn. I tried looking through the awesome speedmaster101 site but could not find as to what dial configuration you are referring to @ndgal. Would it be possible that you'd elaborate on the dial part of your comment? The naiad crown I managed to spot
It's now "Reserved" on chrono24. 7797 GBP. Quite expensive i'd say in that condition... quite many 105.012-64 out there all of the sudden
Thanks everyone. How accurate is the Speedmaster 101 site? They state it can be narrow or wide T’s: “105.012-64 Very rare. The T’s are seen on all dials. 105.012-64 This example has a blueish bezel Calibre 321 Serial Range: 2052 7xxx – 2282 5xxx Dial Stepped applied metal logo Professional text Close spaced SWISS MADE T’s, or wide space T’s Case Asymmetric case, 20 mm lugs Caseback- double step with speedmaster engraved on rear Hands Hour/minute – baton Subdial – Stick, painted Chrono – spear Pushers 5mm x 3mm Crown 7mm Bezel Black BASE 500 bezel with dot over 90 (DO90)
It can be a no T (on the early ones) or narrow T only. Wide T is only if the dial has been replaced... The only 105.012 reference where both narrow and wide T dials are correct is the 105.012-66.
