How desirable is the Speedmaster Moonphase Titanium? How much would you pay for one like in the pictures below which has quite a few scratches but the red dot still intact? Thanks.
Not sure if those hands are original, I thought that they had silver hands. (Yes I realize there is a red dot, but I wonder if that is original, bearing in mind it is pristine and the rest isnt). The movement is the 866. Its very rare. It was used in the desirable moonwatch version. I wouldn't be surprised if some have been canabalised for the movement to put in some of the NOS cases floating about. These are very hard to sell.
That watch is all original. Nice piece around 3-3.5k from what I remember. The least valuable one compared to the white and gold or the darker color
Maybe worth more but I remember this one had difficulty on ebay when the owner was asking 5-6k but who knows
Yea I've seen people ask that but I think your first estimate is on the money, I don't know anyone that would go that high (5-6K) on one of these
I understand that this is a pretty rare, limited edition watch, but strange that it's not that desirable. Because it doesn't have the moonwatch case, perhaps?
It's rare, but rarity does not equate to desireability, nor does rarity bestow value. Tuetonics just don't have the same draw as the moonwatch. However, like all trends, this could change.
Well the basic black dial doesnt really look all that special to be honest. The dial on the white and gold and the other one are a bit more interesting as the case shape itself is not that attractive
