Im looking for an all original Seamster 300...thoughts on this one is on Ebay...is this a re-lume? http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-SOUGHT...554?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20f683aad2Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Dial looks decidedly dodgy to me. Clever photography of the case back, hiding the important details. I'd say a Franken at least. I'd steer clear of that one.
At best, a re-lumed dial and hands and that huge gouge in the case back worries me - how on earth did that happen? The scratches on the bezel are also un-attractive.
Do Seamaster 166.024's have magnified crystals over the date and should the date have a white border? I'm still learning so don't take my word on this!
Don't know how valuable this link is - http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...mega-Seamaster-300-including-Military-watches
The dial not having a white border round the window is the giveaway on this one. The numbers are too big as well.
This looks better, just a bit too rough for my taste: http://www.vintagewatchclassics.com/product/vintage-omega-seamaster-300-the-icon-of-divers
I agree, think I would struggle to live with the bezel and I'm not sure about the crown. I could live with the hands and dial.
Wrong hands. Wrong crystal. Wrong dial. Bullet hole in the back. No movement pics. Premium price. = no bid
