According to listing this is a mechanical automatic, it states on the warranty card calibre 1538, I thought the 1538 was a quartz movement

 

That card does not go with that watch. I checked the serial number on the card and indeed it goes with a ref. 21230416101001, which is a black dialed quartz Seamaster dive watch...not the watch shown.

And yes the Cal. 1538 is quartz with time and date only - not a chronograph movement.

Are these watches common, I have seen others advertised as Olympic but they do not have the rings on the second hand
