Advice on Omega Speedmaster Olympic Auto Chronograph

    According to listing this is a mechanical automatic, it states on the warranty card calibre 1538, I thought the 1538 was a quartz movement

    That card does not go with that watch. I checked the serial number on the card and indeed it goes with a ref. 21230416101001, which is a black dialed quartz Seamaster dive watch...not the watch shown.

    And yes the Cal. 1538 is quartz with time and date only - not a chronograph movement.

    Thanks Al, I have asked the seller to confirm what movement is in the watch

    The watches and boxes are often separated at ADs so its not an unusual thing to see a mix up like that, could have happened after the fact as well (someone had the watch and bought "some" box and papers to go with it).
