    Hi,

I'm 17 years old and i'm just getting into watches and i want to purchase my first serious watch. I always have been attracted by vintages watches and i really liked the look of the vintage seamaster and heard a lot of good things about them. I came across this omega seamaster 600 from 1967, https://www.marktplaats.nl/a/sierad...df8e084fd4b2e0a17e&previousPage=mijnberichten. But i couldn't find this model anywhere else on the internet. Is this a original piece and worth the price? The pictures of the movement are quite blurry shall i ask for some sharper pictures?

    Thanks in advance

    Lucas

This may sound quite dumb, but i already found that one but the dial looks totally different than the one that is offered, or do you mean that the watch that;s offered is not in original state

They came with different dials. The photos are really small so it's hard to tell but I have a feeling it's a redial.

Okay thanks a lot! I asked the seller for better pictures and i’ll ask him about the redial.

The case back has seen quite some polishing and the hands look short to me. I'm undecided on the dial and would like a straight on in focus picture. Is it blue or black?

I'll ask for pictures from the top, he describes the color as blue purple. I dont really mind the overpolishing on the back tho cause i'll mainly buy it for daily wear and you dont really see the bottom of it. Did not see the shorter lugs and hard to see. I agree that the photos are really poor. I asked him for sharper pic and 1 of the 3 pictures he sent me was out of focus.

Low res, out of focus photos could be an indication that the seller is trying to hide something. My suggestion would be to keep looking. Take your time and find a great example rather than a mediocre one.

There are EU based sellers on the forum who sell quite frequently. Best advise for a newbie is to be patient and research. Don't jump in too quick or you're likely to regret it later on.

I would recommend setting up a search on watchrecon.com. It monitors all the forums’ sales boards. As @Davidt said, take your time. Buy the seller first.

Are you a member of the Dutch watch forum (horlogeforum.nl) yet? Nice watches are offered there regularly as well. I sold a 135.011 there just a month ago...

Hello and welcome, its always a good idea to keep an eye on the "private sales" on I this forum. It gives you a bit of confidence in the fact that the seller is known to us and has a reputation to protect.
    Best of luck.
