    Dear Members

Would be most grateful if you could weigh in on this military watch, case ref 2384. I just picked it up and am particularly interested to know if the dial is original or has been refinished.

Also noticed the hands are missing the lume - would you suggest I get these re-done or should I leave the hands alone? Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you!

I think it is original, but is slightly different than the Ref. 2384's made for the US Army in 1945. Serial number is a bit later and has the beryllium-bronze finish that was Omega's trademark.

Looks like a nice clean watch.

Many thanks, really appreciate your help! Regarding the hands, should I keep them "as is"? According to the Omega database, it says "blue steel pear shaped hands":

Now, I found a pair of original radium hands on eBay, Item# 381386221275, 371309760964 and 381256897259. The last two lisiting are in blue steel. Not sure if the are correct for this model. Would any of these be correct, and if so, would it make sense to purchase them or keep the hands I have and get them redone?

    Many thanks!
