1st time poster here aswell from Ireland and such a coincidence I have the a very similar watch (model 168.004 I think but I'm open to correction) with the pie pan dial though with the gold grain of rice bracelet, which I'm sorry to say has seen better days!
The watch has been sitting in a locker for a couple of years and I got it out yesterday with the intention of bringing it back to its former glory!
I had intended sending it into a specialist to give it a full service but the bracelet is broke on it and I was hoping to get the parts to give to specialist so he can do the entire watch and not just the workings.
And that friends is where you come in if at all willing??
I'm trying to source the following...

1- gold beads of rice links ( current strap I have is too short - strap part no is 1036 I think??)
    2- ends for strap above
3- omega gold clasp with omega symbol to fit above. The one on it at present is an after market clasp

Any ideas & thanks in advance!
    Sorry to hijack the thread!!

    Thanks
    Brian

Looks great, I am sure it will clean up very nicely :) I think your is a little newer, as mine is a caliber 551 without a date window. I think its like the caliber 554?? It also says Officially Certified I think on the dial as well, not exactly sure, I think some one will chime in.. Again great find!! :)

The gold filled/plated bracelets quite often come up on eBay in various conditions. Yours is the 5 row BoR, but either 5 or 7 will work just fine with your watch. Just get the whole bracelet including end links for around $150, sometimes more, sometimes less, instead of just a few links or clasp. The one you linked to earlier looks quite rusty and worn out, more than the current one.

Your watch would look just fine on a leather strap as well.
