Hi Omega forum goers! I'm new to vintage seamasters and was hoping to do a sanity check on one that I'm looking to buy. It looks like a pretty honest example and I think it dates to around 1967-68. The seller's asking $6900 and I was hoping for insight on whether that's a fair price/good deal? Thanks in advance! Also would like to note that the watch is serviced and for what it's worth, the seller's a nice guy. I mainly am looking for a second opinion and some additional learnings.
Looks solid. The price for these is all over the place. $6900 might be a bit high based off sales I’ve tracked, but not too far off.
thanks for the insight. @justinz are there similar resources like speedmaster101.com that you use to verify?
You can search the forum here using the case reference number 165024 and there are are few good write ups that I reference. http://thatwatchandmore.blogspot.com/2013/03/buying-vintage-omega-seamaster-300.html?m=1 https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread....mega-Seamaster-300-including-Military-watches
For a watch that has been serviced I think it is a fair price. Much more appealing lume that what is usually found on this reference.
