Just joined the forum as I am interested in a watch like my father had and was wondering what members think about this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Seama...523794?hash=item3ac46c20d2:g:K-EAAOSwQaJXRz9rPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network newb mistake - This should be in the vintage watch section...sorry. Moderators please move
The movement shot is on a different background, this worries me. Seems to be a redial. T SWISS T and no apparent lume on the indices. I would pass. Other more knowledgeable members will chime in I'm sure.
Welcome to the forum! Glad to have you here and very glad that you are asking and learning before spending. The watch you list is a quite attractive model and you should be able to find a nice one reasonably priced. I have serious concerns about the one above as the dial shows spots, the hands have corrosion and the seller states it is non-working. Most concerning is that he is able to take clear photos, but yet he is fuzzy when taking the movement shot and it has a different background. We have a saying, "buy the seller" and this person has 1 feedback as a seller. Unless you fancy the unknown adventure filled with perils, keep searching! I don't feel this watch is what you are looking for. Thanks for asking us and good luck!
This group will not steer you wrong. I would recommend you keep an eye on the Private Watch sales board, also http://forums.watchuseek.com/f21/ You'll find good watches for a fair price.
