Pulling the trigger on a blue AT finally! But just found out that the warranty card it comes with is stamped by an AD in Tokyo, which I admit took some wind out of my sails. Should it have? Any reason not to proceed with the deal? Thank you in advance for your help, friends!
I just wanted to know if US Omega will give me any issue, or if there is something to be more I should be aware of, that's all.
You'll need to learn how to read Japanese now. It's not a problem, take it into any Omega retail outlet and you can get service for as long as the warranty is valid. Those of us who buy watches on the secondary market see papers in other languages all the time.
Lol no harm meant, it's a big world! (Also, it could have been that there are differences - Tokyo works best in Tokyo, US best in US - neither better than the other. But, yes, guilty of being self-centric ;-) I can't know everything but I try and learn. That's why I'm here. Thank you for obliging!)
If you think a Japanese set of cards is bad you should see my watches, they come with cards from a penal colony full of ex-convicts sent down under by the British.
Your colony is my dream country to visit and explore Have some friends in AU and hate them for posting all the beautiful landscapes on FB. Where exactly on the continet are you located at ?
Lots of Aussies here. I'm in Canberra. @JimInOz is in Melbourne. @timjohn in Sydney and a few Brisbane/Gold Coast types also. Time for aN ausSie GTG!
yeah i know there are many Aussies here .The forum server etc. itself is located in Australia (Brisbane right ? ). Good luck with GTG, i hope you can pull it off given that Australia is so huge
My (rather old now...) Nikon DSLR camera was bought in the US and it's warranty is void in Europe... Took the chance anyway, as it was much, much cheaper.
Let's have it in Darwin I know a nice little spot up a croc infested river we can sit in the shade and you can show me all your nice watches.
Many Japanese companies have USA warranty on their products and will not honor their product warranty if from outside the US, i.e, "Grey Market" This is not America-centric assumptions, getting a little tired of you slur bullshit.
