    Hi guys.

I have been interested in vintage Omegas for quite a while now, and since its almost christmas i have decided to treat my self with one.
I have found a Constellation from 1967, which i find attractive, but before i run out and buy it, i wanted to hear some advice on it, so my first vintage Omega will be a success.

What do you guys think about it. In the add, the sellers state that its from 1967, and i have looked up the reference number on Omegas database, and it does seem to match. The crown and the glass, have been replaced with original Omega parts, but im not 100% sure its genuine. So any advice will be much appreciated, so i can get started on my Omega collection.

Let me just say thanks in advance.

Kind regards. and a merry christmas!

Not an expert, but looks fine with me. Dial is a bit spotted, but that's fairly common - should be reflected in price, though.
Is the crown logo'ed? And how much is it offered at?

The crown is logo'ed, and its put up for 1200USD. I cant really tell if this price is too high or what.

As a rookie in the Omega world, its difficult to tell. I mean yeah, you can read alot about the different watches in here, but as far as i know, its an experience game, and i dont have any of that.

Price is too high for a fairly common model in average condition - it's a $500 watch as is. I think condition is paramount more so if the model is a common one.

Also, at any price you'd want to see more photos. For instance you can't tell if parts missing like the micro regulator ...

    I have a similar question
I also am offered a steel on steel Pie Pan, which is quite rare, the prise is around 1000$
I did some search and did not see a lot on ebay,
so my question is: How rare is a steel on steel Pie Pan? and reasonable price (range) for it?
    Thanks

    Pham

We really need pictures including the movement and inside caseback before we can tell you anything, the value of a steel piepan can vary from US$500 to several thousand depending on model and condition.

Steel piepans are common - if you are looking at a 1960s model omega sold millions of them. Don't know what you mean about the watch being rare.

The big thing is the condition, particularly the dogleg models like the 168.005 and 14900 lose so much sharpness the first time they're polished that it makes a big difference, their angles are a key part of their personality.
