So I was recently given a Vacheron Constantin moonphase by a friend of mine... don't get too excited though - the crystal was broken on it, which is why it came to me. I checked out the timing and functions on the movement and all seems well but, I am at a bit of a loss as to what to do with it now. As far as I can tell, Vacheron restrict their spare parts so independents would seem to be out of the question - but I would like to know if this is always the case? Has anyone here ever had their Vacheron serviced outside of their service channel before? Thanks in advance, M
There are generic crystal in the market, which unless your watch has odd shape, come with almost any size with 0.25 mm size increment.
Bill Gates or Mark Cuban? I'd like to see this watch. If authentic, it might be the first recorded true gifting of a VC. If I had a nickel for every time I saw a thread about a gifted PP, VC, or other high end watch that turned out to be fake I would be able to buy a VC. Oh, wait - I did already buy one. Yes. But parts were not necessary.
