·Hi y'all,
New to the forum! I'm pretty new to watch collecting and very new to vintage pieces. I only have one older watch in my collection so far (A Nivada Antarctic) but it already gets more wrist time than my modern watches. I'm looking getting my first vintage Omega and came across this watch. The seller doesn't have any pictures of the movement, but before I even ask to open it, I thought I'd ask for an opinion on the dial.
From searching google and these forums, I feel like the case is the 2577. The owner claims the movement inside cal. 351. I couldn't find any examples where the triangle hour markers did not reach past the minute tick marks. Also, the tick mark doesn't quite line up with the 9 oclock index. The closest thing I could find also had an applied square marker under the 12.
The seller wants $500 USD but is willing to negotiate. I feel this price is quite a bit too high. Help!
