    Good Evening,

I am in the market for a connie piepan in steel preferably a 564 but I am open to a 561 cal as well. Below is a link to one that i am seriously looking at. The seller has agreed to $1100, however id love some feedback on the authenticity etc.. The seller mentioned it "may be a redial"

    Hi Steven

    welcome aboard

the first watch was discussed on the forum and is (or was) for sale on this forum (sales forum not private sales forum) so check it out there

the second one has a nice honest case - sharp, with signs of use (scratches)
    however,
the crown has the gasket showing -so would need replacing and you can't get new Omega versions
nice dial, onyx inlay markers - but there is a ding on the dial at nine
it doesn't pass the MOY test but is so close in font style that I would be reluctant to call a redial

and there's something going on with the movement (25,3xxx)
lots of different colours - bridge, rotor, etc

consensus suggests that onyx markers never made it into the 25m serials - so that has to be considered

would be good to see the inner case back too, for completeness

the third watch is a bad redial, whereby the once lovely railtrack has been obliterated ( a very sought after Connie in good condition)

    hope that helps

    Not so many frankens
But unfortunately the vast majority fall into the categories of overpolished and/or redialled
But good ones are out there

Well I have been doing some reading/research to help pair down the options.
This one looks decent, not overpolished, movement looks clean. Crown is a decahedral. Thoughts?

I don't think that's half bad. In much better condition than those usually found on eBay at that price.

I've been watching this one for a while. Watch looks really nice; would not be surprised if it sells soon.

I've been telling myself that for about a year now. I'm just never quick enough, every time a good one comes up on here its gone before I've even had a chance. Not many nice ones seem to come up in the U.K either, they all seem to be in the U.S.

I do like the look of this one. I'm in no way, shape, or form an expert but i think the dial on this is ageing beautifully.
