    Hello

Am looking at purchasing this GMT 1675 the dealer has dated as 1962. I have asked for more 'real life' photos that hopefully I will get them tomorrow.

But I would love to get some feedback on the aesthetics of this watch until I have more detailed pics. I personally think everything looks quite legit but I am not expert on the difference between service parts and originals.

Any advise would be really appreciated.

    Thanks

Looks like a replacement bezel insert. It's also been polished - the facets on the outside top of the lugs aren't crisp anymore. Wait for more opinions, but I'd say it's maybe a $4500 watch.

You should get more photos of movement, caseback/interior and of both surfaces with bracelet removed. bezel's colors should be faded a bit more given age of the watch, so agree, as indicated, it seems a replacement. Could be a long ago replacement, so I would ask When? Lume hour plots seem to match that of the hands. Polished too much but looks good. As it's on Chrono24 they may ask for USD 6000 but around 4500 seems like what I'd feel comfortable paying.

All this imho from looking at these the past 3 months but never quite getting comfortable

Bezel a replacement, BUT this is a cornino with what appears to be an original gilt chapter dial, correct handset, and matching lume. I guessing its >8k.

    Well you're getting warmer. :)
But you can't buy Rolex by "thinking it looks ok"
You need to see the movement, movement #, caseback,
rotor, serial number, between both lugs shots, etc None of
    which is shown here.
This is an "exclamation dial" PCG see the Dot under the 6?
It looks pretty good but there should be pictures showing
the Gloss of the dial and the Gilt printing. Not these.
Need a lot more than you have given here to vet this watch.
This probably came with super fat font bezel insert. Would be
    nice to have-
But no one really cares. It all about the dial and case with these.

Worth about double that since it's an earlier model with the chapter ring gilt dial and pcgs. Watch is in nice condition. Pics look like they're from bas.nl at vintagerolexforums.com. Haven't had any experience with him but seems like a legit and honest seller.

'63 is the last year of the PCGs, also was the year where they switched to non-chapter ring dial. Here's my '63:

Thanks for the replies guys- would love to find a gmt with small hand gmt and minute dial for $4k. If anyone knows where I can get one please let me know. this is the best example have found so far and is asking for around $10k, found few in London but they surpass this number by a long way.

have asked for more pics and post them when I get them

    Thanks

You guys are funny. 4500 is more in the range for a 16750. I'll admit the case is more polished than I'd like and a replacement bezel insert, but this is probably a >8K USD watch. The dial and lume is a little aged, but not bad at all.

You're likely correct Adam but I've already eaten some crow for missing the the chapter ring gilt dial ( was viewing on my iPhone :( ) and pcgs which Kyle has commented on

For a 1675 like this on photo, if caseback, movement are correct, no more of 13-15K U$D....
    that's my 2cents

In this period, no words up the serial numbers
However the numbers look to be correct for the year.
