Advice needed on a Omega 3944 Moonphase

Hi all,

I recently acquired an Omega 3944 14K Gold, and I have a few questions I’d really appreciate some expertise on:

  1. Does anyone happen to know the maker’s stamp on the bracelet? It’s also stamped 14K, but under the XRF analyser it shows as 9K.
  2. Was there ever a rose gold version of this watch? The case appears more copper-toned than yellow gold in person - could this be due to tarnish?
  3. Does anyone know someone who can custom-make a new crystal for it? I'm in Perth, Western Australia.
  4. I'd appreciate any other info on the watch as well.

Thank you very much in advance!

Also, to add that the crown most likely isn't original to the watch.

Did you check the clasp and bracelet separately? Clasp could be 14kt and bracelet 9kt

9kt was sold in commonwealth countries, but in the majority. 9kt is not considered gold. 10kt is the minimum

I would remove the bracelet. Not designed for the watch and sharp edges will cause wear inside the lugs.

Buy a jewelers rouge cloth and give the case a bit of a buff to see the color better. Don’t know if pink was made.

Can try Cousins in the UK and Perrins in Vancouver, Canada. 3 others in the US, but check

Mention the watch and case reference number. Thing is. Most times the case might need to be sent in to have the crystal fitted properly unless you know a watchmaker that can do it.
